🌀 Restoring Shiatsu to its rightful place

It is important that each practice regains its rightful place. Today, the term ‘Shiatsu’ is widely used in the media, spas and wellness centres, often with no connection to its deeply rooted foundations. This can undermine the legacy of the Japanese masters who dedicated their lives to this discipline, and reflects a lack of understanding of its energetic principles and its effects on general well-being.

With the OsteoShiatsu® concept, you benefit from an authentic approach, rooted in the traditional principles of Eastern practice, and focused on deeply supporting physical, energetic and vibrational well-being.
Shiatsu is a Japanese manual therapy inspired by traditional Chinese medicine. It is based on the laws of the five elements and yin-yang, as well as on the mapping of meridians — these energy pathways which, according to this philosophy, promote the circulation of Ki (vital energy) and thus regulate the body’s energy and maintain emotional and mental balance.

Within seconds, the practitioner will identify areas of tension and imbalance by observing posture, performing a quick and precise palpation of key reference points, and testing the necessary reflex zones. The treatment then consists of applying pressure to specific/strategic points and performing stimulating tissue stretches, aimed at promoting physical relaxation, flexibility and general well-being.

Shiatsu is suitable for people of all ages, subject to parental consent for minors, and forms part of a preventive and complementary approach; it is not intended to replace medical or therapeutic care where such care is necessary.

📌 OsteoShiatsu® is offered as a complementary wellness practice based on energy and body-based principles, and is not intended for medical purposes.
